Interior and Exterior Roof Inspections

Most roofers will inspect your roof's exterior, but at Trinity Exteriors LLC, we'll also inspect the interior of your roof. We'll check for proper insulation, ventilation, moisture and mold. The exterior inspection includes climbing up on the roof and checking for any leaks and proper flashing, along with checking the condition of the shingles and your chimney. Depend on us when you need roofing contractors in Severna Park, MD!

The National Roofing Contractors Association recommends having your roof inspected at least twice a year: in the fall and the spring when the weather tends to be milder. Call (443) 282-1789 to schedule an inspection and tune-up for your home's roof.

Some Signs You May Need Your Roof Replaced

  • Shingle edges are curled or tabs are cupped.

  • Bald spots where shingle granules are missing.

  • Cracked, broken or missing shingles.

  • Your roof is at least 20 years old. Shingles today are produced for durability, but many factors can accelerate the aging of shingles, such as poor ventilation, too many layers or improper installations.

  • The roof appears old and worn.
  • Your neighbors are getting new roofs. Homes built around the same time period experiencing the same types of weather conditions can mean that your roof is nearing the end of its useful life.

  • Airborne algae cause dark streaks on roof decks. Moss can grow on roof surfaces that don’t get much sunlight, especially in cooler, moist climates. Moss holds moisture against the roof surface and over time, in freezing climates, can cause damage to the granules on the top of the shingles and grow into the fibers. Moss can be brushed off, but that won’t stop it from growing again.

The National Roofing Contractors Association recommends checking your roof at least twice a year—fall and spring when the weather tends to be more mild—to help spot any problems.
